Police in Ntcheu District have confirmed that one person has died and six others have been injured in a road accident that occurred on Tuesday at Kampepuza.

According to Ntcheu Police spokesperson Inspector Jacob Khembo, the deceased has been identified as Sautso Macheso, 35, from Mkhukhi Village in Traditional Authority Kalonga, Salima District.

Inspector Khembo said the injured include Leo Billiat, 45, the driver, Lucy Kalias, 26, and Janet German, who are currently receiving treatment at the hospital. Madalitso Dzanka, 38, George Machonjo, 41, and Ofen Zimba, 20, have since been discharged.
