Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic death in June 2020 reopened a national debate this year after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed closure reports in March that found no evidence of criminality or financial embezzlement. Now, the actor’s family says it will legally contest the agency’s findings- calling the closure report incomplete and “nothing but an eyewash.”

What the CBI Concluded?

According to the closure reports filed earlier in 2025, the CBI concluded there was no proof that Sushant Singh Rajput was illegally confined, threatened or abetted to commit suicide, and that there was no substantiation for allegations of misuse of his funds.
