Big Brother's first female winner unrecognisable 23 years after reality show
Over 20 years after her television triumph, the first ever female winner of Big Brother , Kate Lawler, is almost unrecognisable.
Before ITV took over the reins with hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best, the show made its debut on Channel 4 in 2000, later moving to Channel 5 in 2011.
Kate joined the reality programme in its third series and made history by becoming the first woman to win the Big Brother title , joining the ranks of series one victor Craig Phillips and season two's Brian Dowling in the show's hall of fame.
At just 22 years old, she competed alongside well-known presenter Alison Hammond and reality star Adele Roberts.
