DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County Police are asking for help identifying a vehicle and driver involved in a serious hit-and-run crash last week after a trailer came loose on Interstate 20 westbound near Wesley Chapel Road.

The collision happened around 12:27 p.m. on Oct. 14, police said. Two men had pulled over on the right shoulder to reattach a trailer to their truck when another pickup truck traveling westbound lost its own attached trailer. That runaway trailer struck the victims' trailer and hit both men.

Both victims sustained serious injuries but are expected to survive, according to investigators. The driver of the pickup truck did not stop after the crash.

Police said they do not have a make or model of the suspect vehicle, but released a photo of the trailer involved. Cre
