Portland Trail Blazers coach and NBA legend Chauncey Billups picked the absolute worst time to use a gambling phrase ahead of his arrest as part of an FBI investigation.

A day before Billups was charged for his alleged role in an illegal poker operation, he made a horribly ill-timed reference to gambling chips while being asked if having prospective Trail Blazers owner Tom Dundon at the season opener made him feel any pressure.

NBA: The league's gambling problem is even worse than we thought

"That pressure thing is nothing to me, man," Billups said in the postgame press conference after his team's 118-114 home loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday. "I do the best I can and let the chips fall where they may."

You can hear the remark at about the 5:12 mark in the postgame presser video shared by the Trail Blazers.

GAMBLING ARRESTS: What is 'La Cosa Nostra' mentioned in sports betting investigation?

OOF. That's... that's unfortunate.
