CARUTHERS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The Fresno County Sheriff's Office says the "questionable" death of a man found on the ground in Caruthers is under investigation as of Thursday morning.

According to officials, at around 7 a.m., deputies and EMS personnel responded to the area of Oak and Tahoe avenues after dispatch received a call from a bystander.

The bystander reported finding a man injured on the ground. Officials say the man died at the scene.

Deputies are speaking with people in the area to see what they may know and working to learn more about the victim.
