The Department of Workforce Services announced yesterday that SNAP benefits will not be paid in November due to the government shutdown which will affect many in the Uintah Basin. The Utah Department of Health and Human Services issued an announcement on Wednesday regarding another supplemental nutrition program, WIC, which stands for Women, Infants, and Children. “As of [Wednesday], WIC operations and shopping have not been interrupted and will continue to be available into November,” shares the announcement. “WIC offices remain open and ready to help.
