HIGH POINT, N.C. — Two people, including a Guilford County mother, are facing serious child exploitation charges after a statewide investigation led by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI).

Agents with the NCSBI executed a search warrant on October 22 at a home in High Point, assisted by the High Point Police Department. The investigation began after a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Investigators arrested Sierra Star Fortner, 30, charging her with:

10 counts of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor - faces 192 years in prison

2 counts of statutory sex offense with a minor by an adult - faces life without parole

2 counts of indecent liberties with a child - faces nearly 10 years in prison

2 counts of felony child abuse
