BUENOS AIRES, Argentina — Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose stunned fans during the band’s Buenos Aires concert when he hurled his microphone at the drum kit, kicked the bass drum and stormed offstage during the opening number.

According to NME Magazine , the incident unfolded Saturday night at Estadio Huracán as the group launched into “Welcome to the Jungle.” Fan-filmed footage shows Rose ripping off his leather jacket and leaving the stage after the outburst, later returning to tell the crowd, “So, I’ll just try and wing this.”

Speculation swirled online about tensions with new drummer Isaac Carpenter, who joined the band in March after longtime member Frank Ferrer’s departure, ThePRP reported . However, the band later clarified that Rose’s frustration stemmed from technical issues
