Idid not personally make it to any of the No Kings demonstrations, but I would like to take the occasion to give my support and endorsement to the No Kings movement.

The original No Kings movement in our country was highlighted by the Continental Congress in 1776, when that body adopted the Declaration of Independence to let the world know that our country did not intend to be ruled by a king. After our country became independent, the elected representatives adopted a Constitution with a Bill of Rights to make sure that there would be a system of checks and balances to make sure that nobody would ever emerge as a king.

In our current situation, we need to mobilize public opinion to make sure that nobody ever emerges as a king in our country.
