WENDELL, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — On an asphalt lot off West Avenue C in Wendell, makeshift street signs lead the way to Christina Newlan’s lifelong dream.
Roughly three and a half years ago, Christina traded in the wheels of a semi for those of a food truck. Unlike most, which are often on the move, hers has a permanent home base.
“I was a truck driver for 20+ years and I always wanted to have my own restaurant. So, this is just a good beginning,” Christina told KMVT.
Decor and picnic table style seating surrounds Christina’s food truck, offering a unique outdoor dining experience. The menu features chicken strips, finger steaks and deep-fried portobello mushrooms. Christina makes her own batter every day.
