RICHMOND, Va. — A Portsmouth woman is among six people arrested in a months-long investigation into the attempted smuggling of about $1.1 million worth of drugs into the Virginia Correctional Center for Women in Goochland County.
Brittany Louise Decarli, a current probationer, faces two counts of attempting to deliver narcotics to a prisoner. She was arrested alongside a former VADOC corrections sergeant, two other probationers, and an inmate, all charged with a total of 13 offenses following indictments by a Goochland County grand jury.
Other people arrested include Tara Hedges Catona of Glen Allen, April Parrott of Gordonsville, Michelle Paige Rook of Glen Allen, Orline (Arlene) Terry of Glen Allen, and inmate Stephanie Nicole Vanhoudt of Troy. Charges range from conspiracy to deliver
