ATKINS, Ark — The Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division is now investigating a deadly accident that happened after a vehicle pursuit on I-40.
According to reports, the accident happened near Atkins at about 4:00 p.m. on October 22 when a trooper saw a woman driving recklessly and at a high speed as she was headed westbound down Interstate 40.
The vehicle was reportedly seen passing other vehicles by using the shoulder, and it nearly collided with two other motorists as it was attempting to travel between lanes to try and lose the trooper.
