Bismarck, ND (KXNET) — North Dakota saw 80 confirmed tornadoes this year, and now our state will see some help from the government. President Donald Trump announced $3 million in federal funds will be coming to North Dakota following tornadoes and floods from early August. President Trump announced he had approved Governor Kelly Armstrong's request for FEMA assistance via Truth Social.

"For the second time in as many months, President Donald Trump has granted Gov. Kelly Armstrong's request for a presidential major disaster declaration, with the latest declaration covering impacts from severe storms in August that caused significant damage, mostly to electrical infrastructure," said Governor Armstrong in a press release obtained by KX News.
