MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The U.S. Marshals Service reports that two people are detained in the Nutbush area after a Memphis Safe Task Force pursuit ended in a crash around noon Thursday.
A spokesperson for the federal agency says that at 11:38 a.m., task force officers attempted to pull over a black Toyota in an undisclosed area.
Officers determined that the same Toyota that was the subject of a called-off pursuit overnight. It’s unknown at this time what triggered that first chase.
USMS reports that the driver refused to pull over a second time Thursday and sped off, and attempted to strike an officer in the process.
