NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, Texas — A man was arrested on Friday, Oct. 17 while traveling toward Nacogdoches for having multiple drugs in his car.
Law enforcement stopped John Darren Crawford, 50, after he sped inside a construction zone on Highway 59. According to a press release from the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office, deputies became suspicious due to the way Crawford was acting.
The press release states that hidden inside the toolbox of Crawford's truck was a cardboard box containing 2.4 lbs. of crystal meth, 123 grams of Alprazolam pills and a small amount of marijuana.
The deputies concluded that he had recently gotten the drugs from near Houston and was traveling back to Nacogdoches County to distribute them.
Deputies arrested Crawford and transported him to the Nacogdoches County
