NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - A Nacogdoches man is accused of bringing meth, pills and marijuana into East Texas from Houston to distribute.
On October 17, deputies with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a Ford pickup on Highway 59S, traveling toward Nacogdoches. The vehicle was stopped for speeding inside a construction zone.
The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was identified as John Darren Crawford, 50, from Nacogdoches. When talking with Crawford, deputies became suspicious due to his behavior, according to the sheriff’s office.
Crawford agreed to allow the deputies to search his vehicle. The search of the vehicle led to the discovery of 2.4 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, 123 grams of Alprazolam pills and a small amount of marijuana.
