Weeks after his Halloween display went viral for depicting a phantasmic ICE raid, Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch traded in sombrero-wearing skeletons for headstones depicting the death of “humor.”

A recent photo provided to Lagniappe shows Burch’s front yard no longer features the handful of skeletons dressed as Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents chasing others wearing stereotypical Mexican attire that drew international attention earlier in October.
