The LSU Presidential Search Committee is considering potential semi-finalists to be the university system's next president, including Interim President Matt Lee and McNeese State University President Wade Rousse.
The entire applicant list of 30 people was presented by the search firm SSA Consultants, which arranged candidates into different levels of qualification. Some of the top applicants include Julius Fridriksson, the vice president of research at the University of South Carolina, and Giovanni Piedimonte, the vice president of research at Tulane.
Some applicant names and background information remained confidential, and the committee is set to choose semi-finalists to come to campus for interviews on Oct. 29.
