ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - This week is National School Bus Safety Week and Roanoke City Public Schools is celebrating by recognizing its drivers and highlighting the partnership with Zum Services .

Roanoke City Public Schools officials said they are proud of its drivers and partnership with Zum buses .

We’re told their state-of-the-art buses are equipped with innovative technology to ensure the safety of students.

“The responsibility that we place on the drivers and aids is immense, but it’s also great when we see them coming back and the pride they take and what they do and the care that they provide our kids,” said RCPS Chief Operations Officer Chris Perkins.

Perkins said through the partnership, the division has achieved a 98% on-time arrival rate, which demonstrates their commitm
