FOSTORIA, Ohio — Authorities are investigating after being dispatched to a report of a home explosion in Fostoria Thursday afternoon.

According to the Fostoria Fire Division chief, police and fire crews were dispatched to the 400 block of South Wood Street shortly after 4 p.m. in response to a potential home explosion. Once on scene, they found a detached garage on fire with a 75-year-old man still inside.

First responders administered aid to the man before transporting him to a local trauma center, according to authorities on scene. The extent of his injuries are currently unknown.

According to police dispatch, South Wood Street was partially closed to area traffic. Fire crews told WTOL 11 that the fire was"easily" suppressed.

No other individuals were reportedly injured in the incid
