HONOLULU (Island News) – The suspect involved in the Kapahulu barricade incident, that resulted in one law enforcement officer being shot, has been charged.
Robert Morris now faces federal charges for allegedly shooting a deputy sheriff.
Following a 16-hour standoff in Kapahulu, Morris made his first court appearance on Thursday morning. He was charged with assaulting a federal officer.
He’s accused of shooting a deputy sheriff after he barricaded himself in his Herbert St. home on Tuesday morning.
If convicted, Morris could face up to 20 years in federal prison.
