CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Multiple people were shot and several crashes were reported in an incident that sparked a massive police presence in northwest Charlotte.

Sources tell WCCB there are several crime scenes and traffic accidents related to this incident.

The impacted areas are N. Hoskins Road near Brookshire Boulevard and Freedom Drive near Thrift Road.

Traffic will be impacted in the area through the evening commute. Motorists should seek alternate routes at this time.
