A concept vehicle caught on fire Wednesday at a General Motors Co. design studio in Pasadena, California, shuttering the building temporarily.
Pasadena city spokesperson Lisa Derderian said in an email that the fire started about 6 p.m. and was put out before 7:30 p.m. Workers were evacuated, and a GM spokesperson said no injuries were reported.
GM said the fire did not spread beyond the first concept vehicle, but Derderian said the blaze caused extensive smoke and water damage.
