Boone Health announced Thursday that a new clinic will be built in Glasgow, located in the northwest part of central Missouri.
Christian Basi Boone Health Director of Marketing and Communications told Missourinet that it is an upgrade to its existing clinic aimed at expanding care and meeting growing community needs.
“We are building a brand-new clinic, a good-sized building and it will be big enough to house an additional full-time provider,” said Basi. “So, we’re expanding the number of providers. It will also have an X-ray machine in it so that people no longer have to drive up to an hour to get an X-ray.”
Basi said the expansion comes as rural hospitals and clinics across Missouri continue to close.
