A school bus driver has died after officials said she was pinned between two school buses in an incident that happened outside a Newark, Delaware, middle school on Thursday morning.
According to fire officials, the incident happened at about 6:53 a.m., when a woman, who was a school bus driver, was struck and became pinned between two school buses in the parking lot of Gauger-Cobbs Middle School along Gender Road in Newark, Delaware.
The woman, now identified as Wanda Montalvo De Garcia, was unresponsive when first responders arrived and went into cardiac arrest shortly after emergency personnel arrived, according to officials.
She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she later died.
