DELTA — Fulton County officials said Thursday they are eager to see FirstEnergy Corp. fulfill its commitment for fewer outages and better service when the utility company has a new electric substation operating by the end of 2026.
“We are aware of the investment from FirstEnergy and welcome the expansion of reliable electric service to Fulton County residents and businesses alike,” Fulton County Administrator Dennis Kennedy said in an email. “As you know, Fulton County is experiencing significant growth in the manufacturing sector, which has brought new residents to the area and has been increasing the overall demand for infrastructure to support that growth.”
The county administrator added that he considers this FirstEnergy project to be “a strong investment in our community.”
