(NewsNation) — The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is warning consumers to immediately stop using several hair dryers due to the risk of death or serious injury due to electrocution and shock hazards.
The CPSC cites a faulty “integrated immersion protection device” as the reason for the warning. "Do not sell or give away these hazardous hair dryers," the CPSC said in a statement.
CPSC notified Wish.com, of California, that the hair dryers do not meet U.S. safety requirements. The firm, according to the CPSC, has not responded to requests for a recall.
