KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City, Kansas man is facing charges in connection with a deadly shooting that happened in June, Jackson County Prosecutor Melesa Johnson announced Thursday.
William E. Sipple has been charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm.
According to court records, Kansas City police were dispatched to a shooting near Truman Road and Prospect Avenue on June 15. When officers arrived, they found a victim who had been shot.
Investigators determined the actual shooting occurred in a parking lot near 19th and Vine Street.
On June 30, the victim died.
