Clear skies and calm winds are setting up for the first freeze of the season for Friday morning, but the frigid nights won't last much longer.

Overnight lows are expected to fall into the upper 20s across the area, setting up a freezing and likely frosty start to Friday. Freeze Warnings have been issued by the NWS for all local counties for tonight and early Friday morning.

Plenty of sunshine helps temperatures warm into the mid 50s on Friday with calm winds throughout the day. Week 9 of FNF will be a pretty chilly one with gametime temperatures in the 40s.

Clouds will fill in on Saturday and likely last through the weekend and next week. That will keep overnight lows in the 40s, but rain chances are looking fairly slim.

There is a slight chance for a few rain showers mainly southwest
