ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (WBAY) - Mike Kertscher developed his love for racing at a young age.

“I started in motorsports, actually, with R/C cars when I was really young, probably 10 years old,” Kertscher explained. “Went from there to go-karts and mini sprints and sprint cars.”

“I knew that I really enjoyed motorsports,” Kertscher said. “Wanted it to be a part of my life forever.”

“I went from trying to race a car for a living to, you know, pivot move,” Mike said.

Kertscher is currently the president and general manager at Road America, a 4-mile, 14-turn road racing circuit located just outside Small Town Elkhart Lake.
