ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - One of the most influential coaches in Georgia State basketball history died this week.

Bob Reinhart, who led the Panthers to their first-ever NCAA tournament appearance in 1991, died at the age of 87 on Monday.

Reinhart led the Georgia State men’s basketball program from 1985 to 1994. In 1991, the Panthers won the Trans America Athletic Conference tournament in Deland, Fla.

During his nine seasons at the helm, Reinhart compiled 107 victories, a program record that stood for more than two decades.
