AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo Fire Department announced that Deputy Chief David Kouba received the International "Chief Fire Officer" designation from the Commission on Professional Credentialing.

AFD said Deputy Chief Kouba has served with the Amarillo Fire Department for over 22 years, joining in 2003. Kouba oversees AFD systems, equipment, and logistics.

“I’m honored to have completed the CFO designation process, which provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on my leadership, evaluate current practices, and identify areas for continued growth and development,” said Deputy Chief Kouba.
