CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Johnstown law firm has taken legal action after Express Scripts removed Martella’s Pharmacy from in-network coverage for UPMC and Highmark patients.

According to court documents, Scanlon & Wojton have filed an emergency motion for a temporary restraining order or a preliminary injunction on behalf of their plaintiffs. This comes are Express Scripts submitted a notice on Oct. 21 to terminate Martella as an in-network pharmacy effective that very day, which the law firm argues exposes "thousands of Cambria County residents to the denial of medication and pharmaceutical treatment."
