SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Two people were arrested in Springfield on drug trafficking charges.

Springfield Police have been investigating an apartment suspected of narcotic distribution on the 100 block of Massachusetts Avenue for several months.

They executed a search warrant on that apartment on Thursday morning, and found two suspects, 31-year-old Brandon Torres and 23-year-old Alicia Ferrer, in the apartment. They were quickly placed under arrest.

Detectives found nearly 125 grams of crack cocaine, 65 grams of powder cocaine, and more than 300 pills of suspected fentanyl. They both face a slew of drug charges.
