TORONTO, ON — The impact the UConn baseball program has on the sport itself will be more evident during the 2025 World Series than ever before.

Despite geographical disadvantages, Huskies’ manager Jim Penders has grown the program over the past several decades by consistently recruiting pro level talent.

When the Toronto Blue Jays host the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of the Fall Classic on Friday, multiple UConn baseball alums will be in each side’s dugout, making vital contributions to their respective teams.
