SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) - Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin football is looking to end the regular season with a win after losing to Glenwood in a nail-biter in week eight.
The Cyclones held a lead in the final minute against the undefeated Titans but couldn't hold on.
""That one is going to hang with us for a while, there's no question," SHG head football coach John Allison said. "We had to learn from a few things. We ran out of a lot of energy just because we've got a lot of guys that play 130, 140 snaps a game. We've got to just manage that time better, maybe a little bit in the second half."
It's a comeback season for the Cyclones after 2024 saw the program's lowest win total in decades.
