A man has died following an attack at a pub with his "devastated" family paying tribute as police arrest a man on suspicion of murder.
Tony Powles, 62, was involved in the incident at the Red Lion in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, on October 9 and tragically died in hospital on Wednesday. The assault, which took place at the pub on Batley Road, has resulted in Harry Mannion, 27, being arrested on suspicion of murder.
The tribute by his family told how he was "loved by all who knew him". Released by West Yorkshire Police it read: “Tony was a much-loved Partner, Dad, Grandad, Father-in-Law, Brother, Uncle and friend. He is known as ‘Dad’ by many, respected by most and loved by all who knew him.
