After years of housing market fluctuations, professionals say we have reached some form of stability in northern Nevada.
In Carson City, along with Douglas, Lyon, Churchill, and Washoe counties, the median sales price for single-family homes, condos, and townhouses is $550,000.
Since September 2024, the combined median sales price in all counties has increased by 1.5% and the number of single-family home sales has decreased by 5.8%.
Sierra Nevada Realtors President-Elect Garrett Lepire says, "Really, what we've seen across the region, not just in Washoe County but across northern Nevada, is a stabilization of the market. We're not seeing a big swing with prices going up, and we're not seeing a big swing with prices going down."
