Piyush Pandey, advertising industry legend behind some iconic campaigns, died in the early hours of Friday. He was 70.
A creative person he was known for creating many highly successful ad campaigns such as for Fevicol and Vodafone.
Mr. Pandey started his advertising journey in 1982 with Ogilvy & Mather India (now Ogilvy India), beginning as a trainee account executive before transitioning to the creative side.
At a time when advertisements were synonymous to print ads, and television was an emerging medium, Mr. Pandey and his creative team at Ogilvy conceptualised numerous television commercials known for the Indian flavour and catchy one-lines.
With his talent, he literally changed the face of Indian advertising. He's the mastermind behind iconic ad campaigns such as Asian Paints' "
