MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WFSB) - More than 150,000 people may have to pay significantly more for health insurance next year due to expected increases for those who receive healthcare coverage through Access Health CT.
The state has no idea how much financial assistance it will receive from the federal government for health insurance due to the government shutdown.
Members of Connecticut’s congressional delegation planned to gather in Middletown on Friday to urge Congress to act.
The state believes costs could go up drastically for 150,000 people who use Access Health CT.
People will start to receive letters letting them know exactly how much their coverage will cost starting tomorrow.
