COLUMBUS, Ohio - Fall foliage throughout Ohio has reached "near peak" and "peak" conditions, according to the latest statewide report from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
The ODNR's Fall Foliage Viewer, updated on Wednesday, indicates a concentration of "near peak" color across much of the state’s eastern tier. Trumbull, Mahoning, and Columbiana counties are included in the large area marked as "near peak" on the map, displaying prominent yellow and orange hues.
The central part of Ohio is generally experiencing "peak" conditions, signified by more developed red tones.
The current color display is occurring statewide, prompting ODNR to encourage outdoor activity.
"The colors of the autumn season are now evident across the state with 'near peak' and 'peak' conditions statewid
