COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Investigators are searching for an arson suspect after a structure fire Thursday morning.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), firefighters responded at 7:55 a.m. to the fire in the 700 block of North Tejon Street.

When the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) arrived, the structure fire was extinguished, police said.

Members of the CSFD Fire Investigation Unit and the Colorado Springs Regional Explosives Unit (REU) were contacted for assistance.

Police said the investigation revealed that a suspect intentionally set the fire, causing several thousand dollars’ worth of damage. The suspect’s identity is unknown.
