SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - Happy Friday, ArkLaTex! A messy weather pattern is expected to begin tonight and continue through the weekend. Multiple rounds of heavy rain and a few severe storms will be possible.
Friday: We begin the day with a cluster of showers and thunderstorms moving across the I-30 corridor. These early-day storms will mainly impact northeast Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. A few cells will bring lightning, but no severe weather is expected today. The I-20 is likely to stay dry thorugh this evening. High temperatures will be in the low 80s, with a few areas in the northern ArkLaTex in the 70s. High school football games will be dry in most areas this evening.
