A man has been jailed over what the Crown Prosecution Service called the seizure of the 'biggest haul of ketamine in the UK'.

Paul Farrelly, 46, was caught driving a van with ketamine worth £17m inside it. Farrelly was pulled over by cops in a black VW Crafter van in September.

The officers, said the CPS, thought he appeared nervous, so carried out a search. In the back of the van, 22 sacks containing the Class B drug ketamine were discovered.

Police also found a pallet in the back with several kitchen worktops on it, secured by a ratchet. The worktops were later found to be hollow, with a further 13 sacks containing ketamine found inside.
