FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) — Kentucky State Police honored four people Thursday who rushed to help a trooper shot during a traffic stop near Blue Grass Airport on July 13 .

State police released dramatic dash cam and body camera footage showing the incident that left Trooper Jude Remilien wounded on Terminal Drive.

The video shows Remilien approaching a pickup truck with Christian music playing on his cruiser radio. The shooter was in the back seat of the vehicle.

After gunshots rang out, both cameras captured Remilien running away as the driver got out and the shooter moved to the driver’s seat and fled.
