POCATELLO, Idaho — A 47-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Bannock County on Friday.
According to the Idaho State Police (ISP), the agency is investigating a crash that occurred around 2 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 24. The crash involved one vehicle traveling north on Interstate 15 in Bannock County, near Pocatello.
Police report that the 47-year-old was in his 1997 Mitsubishi 3000 GT. Police state that he veered to the right, striking a guardrail. The vehicle went over the guardrail, then impacted the Monte Vista overpass pillar.
The driver succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital after he was transported via ground ambulance.
ISP reports the driver was wearing a seatbelt.
The driver's identity may be released at a later date, pending the coroner's identification.
