Man who died after Plymouth city centre building fall named by coroner

An inquest has heard how a man born in Russia was found dead in a city centre street earlier this week.

The hearing was held on October 21 by senior coroner Philip Spinney at Exeter County Hall, now the main coroner's court for Devon, Plymouth and Torbay.

He explained that 62-year-old Valeriy Erofeef was born in Russian and resided at a property at Harbourside Court, Hawkers Avenue, Plymouth. At the time of his passing he was widowed and unemployed.

Mr Spinney said the circumstances of Mr Erofeef death were that he was confirmed deceased at 12.02am on October 12 in Moon Street, by steps leading to Exeter Street. The location is a a short distance from Hawkers Avenue,
