It's fitting that the top two receivers the North are on the top two teams in the Class 5A-North.
Those two teams will meet on Friday in a key Class 5A-North football game: Spanish Springs (3-0 league, 8-0 overall) at Bishop Manogue (3-0, 5-3). Kickoff is set for 7:15 p.m.
Bishop Manogue senior Nate Simms leads all the Northern Nevada football wide receivers in yardage this season with 846 yards, along with 11 touchdowns. He ranks fifth in the state among all classes in yards.
Spanish Springs senior Brady Hummel is second in the North and ninth in the state in yards with 678, and has scored 10 touchdowns.
Fallon senior Wyatt Peek is third in the North and 10th in the state in yards with 660 yards.
