DES MOINES, Iowa —

The Polk County Sheriff's Office is urging witnesses to come forward to help solve the murder of Michael Carter Jr., who was shot and killed a year ago at Union Labor Park in Des Moines.

This week marks one year since the 46-year-old's death.

Investigators say there were witnesses at the time, but after more than a year of gathering evidence, no charges have been filed .

Authorities are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers.
